Tailoring Learning to Increase Engagement

The 2019 annual study by Cascade HR revealed that employee engagement remains one of the biggest challenges in the HR landscape.

1. The Challenge: Tailoring Learning to Increase Engagement

The 2019 annual study by Cascade HR revealed that employee engagement remains one of the biggest challenges in the HR landscape.

While 81% of UK respondents rated ‘employee experience’ as important or very important to their organisation, many have yet to develop tangible solutions to tackle this challenge.

The danger for leaders is that employees who indicate low engagement scores are 12 times more likely to leave their organisation within the next year.

It goes without saying, an un-engaged workforce can quickly become dissatisfied and productivity reduces as a result.

2. The Solution: Creating your roadmap to employee engagement

To make people sticky and keep them engaged, research suggests its key to offer learning and career progression opportunities as well as give recognition and acknowledgement.

When employees feel valued and derive purpose and meaning from their role, they are more likely to feel a sense of achievement and fulfilment and productivity blossoms.

You can follow these three simple steps to increase your employee engagement:

  1. Quantify through feedback and data (benchmark where you are today)
  2. Diagnose key areas of concern to understand the problem and where you need to get to
  3. Create a collaborative environment by giving employees a voice, encouraging action and recognising success

3. KnowledgeBrief Approach: A bespoke, relevant approach

There isn’t a hard and fast one-size-fits-all engagement strategy – every business is different.

For this reason, what sets KnowledgeBrief programmes apart is our customised methodology to tailor solutions to your needs called PRISM — Population, Results, Ingredients, Solutions, Mobilise.

Each client is provided with their own PRISM document, summarising the key objectives and deliverables for the programme established collaboratively at our PRISM planning meeting. This tool is used as a referral point throughout the program to ensure customisation and delivery are met and you get the impact you need.

Alongside tailoring the solution to your own unique business needs, individual learner journeys are created by your one-to-one Professional Learning Advisors at the start of the program. Your learners’ progress and engagement are continually monitored and the impact measured through their CPD records, work-based assignments, training days and monthly reporting directly from their Professional Learning Advisors.

The KnowledgeBrief e-learning platform provides your learners and your business with thousands of techniques at their fingertips which can be quickly researched and practically applied to your current projects.

4. Impact on business: Happy employees = happy customers

Actively motivated and emotionally invested employees will ultimately produce better results and increase retention.

Engaged employees boost performance, service quality and customer ratings, and higher levels of engagement enhance wellbeing and retention in the workplace.
